Castlegregory Golf Club

After a summer of wet weather training, the very focused and fit pairing of Mary Rose Binchy and Donal O’Donnell had an excellent win against Edel Randles and Mike Keane in the final of the Club Mixed Foursomes championship. Played on Thursday 20^th August in typical Castlegregory conditions, the hot favourites and long time unbeaten mixed pairing of Edel and Mike (think Kilkenny in hurling terms) came up against somewhat of an irresistible force in the skilful, determined and composed pairing of Mary Rose and Donal (think Tipperary in hurling). Try as they might, Edel and Mike could not find their true form and had to give way to very worthy opponents. Congratulations and very well done to the Tipperary-like Mary Rose and Donal. Well done also to the former champions Kilkenny  Edel and Mike – what a great mixed pairing they are and what great service they have given to many club teams.
