Castlegregory Golf Club

Newly elected Captain of Keel Golf Society and long time Dooks member, Jimmy O’Shea, joined forces with fellow Keel men Patsy Murphy and George Nash and the much-travelled Michael Spillane to hit a top-of-the-range 89 pts to win the Mens teams fund-raising classic on Sunday last. Patsy and Michael had agreed to stay in and go to bed early on Saturday night, and it showed as they hit a succession of 5 and 6 pointers on the front 9. Jimmy and George had a supporting role and came in when needed. Moss Hogan, Tony Sills, Frankie Herlihy and Pat Leahy hit a very solid 87 to take the runner-up spot. There was an excellent turnout of ladies and men for this event. Thanks to everyone who participated.
