Castle Scotch Classic Results
The first Castle Scotch Classic competition was completed recently with victory going to the Kerry / Limerick combination of Lady Vice-Captain Merlyn O'Connor (20) and 2006 President's Prize winner Noel Earlie (21). This combination shot an impressive one over par 35 gross, giving a nett score of 24 off their handicap of 11. For this competition a pair's handicap is got by taking half the combined handicap and then halving that again as it's a 9 hole competition. Husband and wife combination Goretti (24) and Jim (18) O'Connor were runners up with 27 nett - this was on the count back with two other pairings also on 27.
The second Scotch Classic is currently on-going and runs to 20th May. Play and re-enter with same or different partners at any time - any combination of ladies, men or mixed.
