Castlegregory Ladies Inter-Club Results - 25.03.2007
AA Challenge cup - Handicap 30-36
Team Manager Katrina Mehigan
Team Members:- Marion Burke, Nora Keogan, Geraldine O'Brien, Veronica Kennelly, Katrina Mehigan
The second leg of round one was played away against Killorglin in perfect golfing conditions. Our team put up a great fight and it all went down to a nail biting last match, unfortunately we lost the match. Well done to Katrina and her team and good luck to Killorglin in the next round and thanks for their kind hospitality.
Minor Cup - Handicap 23-29
Team manager - Helen Besseling
Team Members :- Mary Sills, Laurie Fitzgerald, Mary Callanan, Goretti O'Connor, Helen Besseling.
With the odds stacked against Helen and her team on Sunday, they put up a great fight on their home territory against Castleisland. Unfortunately the better team won on the day. Best of luck to Castleisland in the next
round.
Intermediate Cup - Handicap 16-22
Team Manager Merlyn O'Connor
Team members:- Edel Randles, Teresa Rice, Marie McCarthy, Kathleen Hennessy, Merlyn O'Connor.
Our intermediate team played their second leg of round one away to Macroom on Sunday. After our team had a very convincing win at home (5-0), Marcoom put up a great fight against our ladies, with Edel clinching the vital
point on the 17th hole. We now go to round 2 on Sat 14th April in Dooks playing the winners of Ross and Ceann Sibeal. Best of luck ladies & congrats on your win.
Fielding 3 teams in the one weekend was great work by our ladies, well done to the team players, caddies, supporters & especially to our Team Captains.
